Tarun Sharma, the founder of Media Designs, is a first- generation entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the media industry and social movements. He has successfully built and led multiple corporate ventures that have been setting numerous benchmarks in communication, branding and social campaigns.

Journey of an Entrepreneur
Tarun was born in a middle-class service family that valued discipline and aimed for a stable job. However, Tarun took a brave move towards his aspirations and decided to establish something on his own.

In 1999, Tarun started Media Designs, a firm dedicated to marketing, designing and printing. After a while he made a step ahead by venturing into training programmes and managing corporate events.

To bridge the gap between industry demands and academic learning, Tarun took a strong move into the Education venture by establishing IMAC (Innovative Media, Advertising & Communication) in 2007, the goal to provide Industry-specific knowledge with a meaningful learning experience.

However, despite facing major complications in 2009, he subsequently rebuilt IMAC, creating strategic public-private- Partnerships with government organizations such as Delhi University, YWCA, and leading NGOs.

A Leader with a Conscience towards Social Aside from business, Tarun’s passion towards social initiatives was equally strong. In the same year 2009, he launched “Tarun Bharat“, an initiative to inspire youth towards social awareness. It carried a powerful message- शुरुआत आप से” (Changes Begins with You). The message said that real change starts within you before it influences society.

Tarun Bharat encouraged youth for self-improvement towards social issues, and it also gave an important lesson that instead of preaching to others, it’s better to bring change in the society by yourself.

Increasing Horizons & Global Presence
In 2010, he expanded Media Designs into corporate filmmaking and event management and by 2014, he took it to a global height by building significant footholds in China, Thailand, and Dubai, excelling in cohesive communication and high-impact filmmaking.

Protective Cultural and Linguistic Identity
Tarun’s vision goes beyond media and business. He formed “The Hindi” and हिंदी में हस्ताक्षर, a social platform dedicated to promoting Hindi and reconnecting people deeper with their language and cultural roots. The movement urges people to use their mother tongue in everyday life through physical gatherings, social events, and digital platforms, rather than relying only on Western influences. He also promoted हिंदी में हस्ताक्षर, the idea of inscribing names and signatures in Hindi and other regional languages of the India which supports the language’s pride and identity.

Today, Media Designs’ corporate films and brand videos are featured at almost every major international expo and corporate events around the world. From world renowned trade fairs to major industrial shows, Media Designs videos are showcased at global stalls, conference screens, and digital displays, offering top-tier companies a strong visual presence.

There are also other initiatives and activities going on around him, as he is still actively involved in various industry communities, business networks and societal organisations, all of which are aimed at encouraging innovation, and positive change.

Tarun continues to push the boundaries while leaving lasting impacts on the corporate and social landscape. His journey proves that with dedication, innovation, social responsibility, and a clear goal, no dream is beyond reach.
