India’s youth is increasingly becoming unaware of India’s rich legacy and is disregarding India’s culture. Instead the focus seems to be on adopting generic Western mannerisms.
‘The Hindi’ which is making powerful strides in promoting Indian Culture and Heritage recently collaborated with our Institute.
Through informative articles and content about cultural practices, performing arts, diverse festivals and celebrations of India, The Hindi connects its audiences to the heart and soul of India.
With a unique event called ‘Hindi Main Hastakshar’, The Hindi started an important conversation in many institutions including Media Center-IMAC. Students were encouraged to sign their names in their Mother tongue on a board, and many realized they hadn’t ever signed their names in any other language than English before. Suddenly they noticed the growing disconnection between them and their own culture and in an interactive session the students put forward their views about India, its culture, literature and heritage and lauded The Hindi’s initiative.
The Editorial Team of The Hindi initiated the collaboration by approaching the Institute. Several students after the event contributed their viewpoints and write-ups to The Hindi which has benefited both them and The Hindi Readership. This initiative has been a learning curve for the students of Media Center-IMAC. The students through this movement are on the road to becoming conscious citizens of the country, aware of its splendor.
The Hindi has created a wave of pride for the country. We are deeply appreciative of the initiative by The Hindi and are whole-hearted supporters of this grand movement, द हिंदी
